We would never bother trying. This fantastic Limited edition artwork by AAWatson aka Allan Watson; looks sumptuous with its hand applied metallic gold leaf.
First Allan takes the giclee printed background portrait and screen prints a gloss enamel varnish, placing the gold leaf by hand while the varnish is still tacky. This method does throw up a degree of variation and he deliberately doesn't burnish out any wrinkles or imperfections as he thinks they add to the uniqueness of each print from the edition - Each one is truly unique.
