What is Hand-Finished Art?

Hand-finished art is something special as it has a tangible connection with the artist. It is limited in number, so you join an exclusive club of those who get to enjoy such a unique piece of artwork. 

Unlike Original Artwork, Hand-Finished Art refers to artwork that has been physically embellished by the artist, usually done by painting or drawing onto a print creating a unique piece just for you.  

Some great examples of this are , AAWatson’s pieces which he produces using gold leaf onto a Giclée print; the nature of this process has a degree of variation so no two prints are the same.

Always Late… by Mr. Controversial is another perfect example of hand embellished artwork. Here, the print has been overpainted with oils to enhance the appearance and texture of the feathers.

Harry Bunce takes hand finishing to the extreme - his rural resistance prints are individually shot with a 12 gauge shotgun. The damage and spread from the shot makes for explosively exclusive artworks.
