Who is JPS ?

JPS (Jamie Paul Scanlon) is a street artist from Weston Super Mare, Somerset, UK. He is heavily influenced by films and iconic characters and uses predominantly stencils, MTN 94 spray paint and Posca paint pens to create his artwork.

The settings for many of his pieces are often abandoned and decrepit buildings which embrace the dark and chaotic nature off his work.

JPS's Stencil work has drawn obvious parallels with the work of Banksy, whom JPS has been inspired by. However the majority of JPS’s work is drawn either directly form past experiences or from things he loves, especially superheros and villains from films and comics; Batman, Spiderman, Freddy Krueger, Alien to name a few.

JPS is a full time artist and now lives and works in Germany.
