What Makes This Artwork Special?
This artwork is hand finished, firstly Allan created the art print using a Giclée printed background portrait and a screen printed gloss enamel varnish, placing the gold leaf by hand while the varnish is still tacky. This method does create a degree of variation, with Watson deliberately not burnishing out any wrinkles or imperfections to further add to the uniqueness of each print from the edition.
