Banksy's In The Event Of Divorce Cut Here Screen Print - Unframed
This latest piece by West Country Prince is a high quality silk screen print of the Banksy's Girl with Red Balloon, that was reimagined by Banksy
Girl with Red Balloon was voted as Britain's favourite piece of art in 2017. This Divorce version was never made into a print. In the Event of Divorce sees Banksy's girl reaching for her balloon, however there is now a dotted line separating her from it with instructions on where to cut to split the artwork.
In The Event Of Divorce was created as a one off spray paint on to masonite and given to the actor Dennis Hopper, who was going through a messy divorce at the time. The original version sold at auction for $146,500 in 2010.
The original Girl with Red Balloon uses 2 colours; this version uses 4. The text is in white and detail on the girl is highlighted using a light grey.
With Banksy prints now ranging from tens of thousands of pounds to well over a hundred thousand pounds; for many this is the only way to enjoy your favourite Banksy piece at a fraction of the price.
This screen print is produced by the elusive West Country Prince using the exact methods as Banksy’s early works; silk screen printed by hand onto the correct original 300 GSM Wove paper, to the correct specification. This is not a cheap digital re-print. It is the correct dimensions and colours as the original Banksy Girl with Red Balloon screen print – the print size is 500 x 700 MM. It is stamped on the reverse with the WEST COUNTRY PRINCE logo to prevent fraud.
The Wove paper used for this piece matches the original Banksy Girl with Red Balloon. There are flecks and fibres within the paper which compliment the stencilled outlines of the original.

The fact that the West Country Prince has been allowed to sell these pieces over many years has prompted speculation that he or she is an old friend of the street artist, or even the artist himself.
Care Information
This print will be wrapped in acid free tissue paper and shipped inside a sturdy postal tube. Please be extremely careful when removing the print from the tube as the black ink scuffs very easily.
We take great care in rolling and putting the prints into the tube so please be careful removing them. Make sure there are no burrs on the opening of the tube as they might catch the print.
To remove - gently tap one end until the tissue paper appears then gently pull the tissue paper - Not the print. Please do not pull the print/prints by the corners.
Once out of the tube, allow the print to rest – forcing it flat may cause a crease.
