This painting features a collection of discarded spray paint cans which are based on John’s photography at Dean Lane Skate Park or “The Deaner” as it is known locally in Bristol.
The skate park features an ever changing canvas of graffiti both on the skate park and the surrounding buildings. This painting focuses on the empty spray cans left by graffiti artists at the park and is part of a series of artworks based on his photography at the skate park. John photographed each can individually and created this painting featuring a selection of rusty, crushed, used cans and spray can nozzles. The artwork can be displayed vertically or horizontally and there is no right way up, making this 4 pieces of art for the price of one.
